The movers came yesterday, and as I expected, they didn't need both days to pack. They guessed the shipment at about 1/2 the weight allowance, which is just fine. The packers were really great, though. They were very nice, and from what I saw they were not skimping on paper or anything like that. They even had numbered security seals that they

Not military, so I don't understand the thing about Matt. Could he lose his job? That wouldn't put him out of the military would it, they don't seem to let anyone go! so I guess what are you waiting for in the phone call?

Glad your packing experience was better than ours! Ougizmoask was going nuts with the random nature of their packing, lack of reasonable labelling, etc. We had all sorts of random things thrown together. Wires for the entertainment system were under pillows in a box labeled "pillows".

The boxes got partially loaded, then it was decided it was raining too hard. So those that got loaded got soaked overnight in the truck that apparently leaked. The big stuff (the piano, couch, TV) were well sealed and stayed dry though.

When they moved them in the next day, pretty much everything got stacked into one room leaving us to move it from there. They also hit the doorway pretty hard with the fridge moving it in, left a nice dent in the door frame. Other than that it wasn't all that eventful. The hardwood floors weren't molested by them at all.

But after all that, its mostly unpacked at this point, due almost entirely to my dear wife. Its feeling like home already, after less than a week.

Boy, now that sounds familiar. :) We're down to the odd stuff boxes to unpack mostly. Wish I had more time to unpack, but life has not been cooperating here lately.
