Why yes, it took me all this time to get halfway through the alphabet, why do you ask? :)

I am so glad you resurrected Nyan like this! And I am so charmed at his outsider perspective, and his automatic equating cooks and janitors with the scientists and Marines. As far as he's concerned, they're all honorable work, so why not?

It's nice to think of Nyan having a full life on Earth, in his new normal, even if he gets killed 15 years later (maybe he survives?). Thanks so much for contributing to the Soup!

Bah, no hurry; welcome to real life. :P

Actually, originally I had him dying fifty or sixty years later... but still from a Goa'uld attack. And then my brain went 'Wait, the Goa'uld are still attacking Earth sixty years later?' So I changed the timeline... But I did intentionally try to make it ambiguous. :P And I do enjoy the idea of equating mundane work with the exciting...! I didn't mean for it to come off like that, but I love the idea. I was a dishwasher for four years and a waitress for another four and we just don't get the credit we deserve. ^_~ It was natural for me to assume he'd met someone from Earth in some random, normal situation. XD

I always love reading about Nyan! His bond with Teal'c, and the way he helped Jonas adjust to SGC life. Yay for Nancy, and children... *shakes fist at the Goa'uld*
