There's an ad on television that really bothers me: for airconditioning it depicts various scenes of cute children playing or sleeping in comfort, with captions such as "Canberra, midnight: still 32 degrees". I think that, more than anything, I hate how the methods that Howard and co. used worked. The scare campaign on interest rates; the L=Latham=Learner rhetoric. It just seems so inherently illogical.
