Today is Trans Day of Remembrance.

Please take a moment to think about those trans people who have died at the hands of violence.

I wonder if it was coincidence, or deliberate? There was a Cold Case tv episode (the fictional one) with a young teenage trans boy who died as a result of electroshock therapy in the early 60s trying to make him act and dress like a girl. I cried. It was truly awful.

It kindof means even more now that I wonder if the timing of the show was deliberate - a good remembrance.

It could be that. Trans people seem to be in vogue on TV these days.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Tyra Hunter or Gwen Araujo.

When a trans person is murdered, they are not just killed, they are obliterated, sometimes beyond recognition.
