 Well ,the masses have spoken, and it would appear that the gender neutral toilets are more important on the day set aside to remember our dead than the event itself and the memories of the victims.  The Metro article says it all.  No mention of the event, yet here's gender neutral washrooms to conveniently redirect your focus!  Were the speeches ( Read more... )

That is an example of poor timing if ever I saw one - the dead deserve better. My suspicion is that the individuals promoting this have never really thought about what TDoR is for and saw it as a convenient tie in. Not that it in any way excuses their action which was at best in poor taste on a day meant to honor the dead.

I like the way you think with the "slight of hand" redirection of focus. Call me traditional, but I like the toilet arrangement just the way it is, but I pretty apathetic about such issues. Classic case of majoring in the minors. Will add you in order to view more on friends page if you don't mind. Keep writing!
