Leaving today...
I'm leaving today for my Alaska cruise! I'm very excited to finally be on my way. My cats, however, are very depressed that I'm leaving. :) They always seem to know when I'm going out of town. SUMMERTIME!!!
I made it!! I'm done with school for another year! A nice long summer stretches out in front of me - time for reading, writing, traveling, for getting together with friends, but mostly a time to rest up and re-charge my batteries for next year!

There are hats and then there are HATS...
I know that it's traditional to wear a fancy hat at the Kentucky Derby and even large ones from what I've seen, but this one truly amazes me. I don't know how she keeps it on... lots and lots of bobby pins or glue? :) All I know is that I'd hate to sit behind her! SPRINGTIME!!
Springtime is finally here... several weeks later than normal for this area. I'm enjoying my tulips as they slowly bloom. I had to stop and take some pictures of them this morning before I left for work even though they weren't fully open yet.

My team lost tonight and basketball is over for another year. At least for me. *deep and heavy sigh* I'm very, very disappointed even though I'm not totally shocked that they lost. They weren't 'supposed' to win the game because the other team was ranked higher. Still, I had high hopes and now I have to wait EIGHT long months before I can see ( Read more... ) -
Zags Win Two!!!
My Zags won their first two games, the one last night on a last second shot - see video below. What a great, great game. Almost gave me a heart attack though! :) They don't play again until Friday when they take on North Carolina down in Memphis. I wish I could go and see it in person. Ah, well, maybe someday.
