Ever play Runescape? I played for a couple years in highschool. Has the same elements.

I have play Runscape in high school. I have a good friend from Galveston that sill plays it. he is the head of a rather powerful guild

I heard about DOOFUS a while back when I was checking out the Independent Game Awards. It seemed really interesting; didn't know it had a free version.
Two things really stood out about it. One, it's got some unique and cool character classes. Like the Sacrier who gets stat bonuses for taking damage; the ultimate tank character.
The other is that the whole thing is programmed in Flash. A MMORPG coded in mother fuckin' Flash! One cool thing about that is that it makes DOOFUS multiplatform; Macs and PCs can play together. Fuck, you might be able to play it on sufficiently powerful cell phone.

I'm up for creating a character. Might have to clear up some space on my hard drive first.

Another interesting MMO is Maple Story. It's also free to play and I think it might be made by the people who do Ragnarok Online. It's a side scrolling action MMORPG. Don't know how fun it actually is, haven't played it, but (going just from screen shots here) I don't think it's as good as RO or DOOFUS. Just 'cause it seems that with this implementation of the genre, the side scrolling world would get annoyingly repetitive much faster then a top down.
