Religious Objects co-opted as objects of hate and violence

The year began and I noticed a few of my students wearing rosaries around their necks. At first I thought it meant this simply meant a larger number of kids that had gone to to Baltimore Catholic Middle Schools were attending our school and the students proudly displaying a parting graduation gift from their former school. My suspicions otherwise

Thanks for the info - I noticed the same thing here in Huntsville AL & my thoughts process was similar to yours. (Hence, I'm looking for an answer for it today). We should pray to Mary that these rosaries turn these young people to Christ.
