[Nineteenth] - For the Coming of the Outbound Stage

Jan 02, 2011 19:22

This ballot is a joke. I think it's pretty obvious that the majority of us want to leave this place, so what's the point? If the postman can get us out of here, then he should just do it. Why does he need some stupid votes on a ballot?

I'm not going to vote unless someone can really convince me that it'll help. And good luck with that.

whatever democracy, don't know if want, rebel rebel rebel

Personally, I think it's wiser not to vote.

Yeah? So what do you think will happen to the people that do?

I'm not sure. The town has shown itself to be quite powerful in many seemingly impossible ways.

However by the looks of the question, I would not be surprised if they are not simply using this as a way to divide us. Or to find out if there are any of us that they would be able to use. The people who 'want' to remain behind.

Either of those could be right on. Makes me wonder how many people actually want to stay here.

'Cause last time we voted, we got the Mayor back.

That's a little different than getting a free pass out of this place.

No, but it means that our votes can mean something, you know? That's why he needs the votes.

I'm sure he needs them for something. I still don't trust him, though.

[oh hi not-mom, I'm sure they've chatted since Liechtenstein got her backdating and was undroned] There's a catch to it, whatever it is.

No doubt about that. The problem is trying to figure out what it is.

When I asked the cost, he said he would cover it...

I can't believe that's all there is to it.

Me neither.

He seems genuine, almost, but I won't trust him until he can at least show us something.

A ballot makes as much sense as anything else I've seen around this place.

So are you saying you voted?

truebravery January 3 2011, 19:00:41 UTC
Yeah. If there's even the smallest chance that this is for real, I don't want to miss it.

Can't blame you, I guess. Maybe I should try to be a little more optimistic.

So you'd prefer to just sit around and do nothing? How boring.

Did I say that?

If you're not willing to take the chance and fill out the ballot, you shouldn't complain about missing that chance later, okaaay..?

I won't. That would be stupid, since I obviously had the choice.
