i want to insert a picture into an email, so it will appear in the body of the email without having to be downloaded as an attachment. is that possible? how do you do it on gmail?

provided the email address you send it to accepts html I suppose you could use (img src="") with pointy brackets < instead of parenthesis between the quotes you'd need the full url of the photo. Any one site might prevent you from doing this so it's not fool proof, but it might work.

so to do it, the picture would have to be on a site somewhere, and not just a file on my computer?
