I read "Poser: My Life in Twenty-Three Yoga Poses" recently. I wish she had named the book just "Poser" because the title makes it sound like an "Eat, Pray, Love" re-run. The latter I also read and loathed by the end. Poser is something so unique- especially for the local mom. She writes about perfectionism and the particular values and virtues ( Read more... )

My favorite yoga teacher read that book and kept recommending it as well! She had a copy of it before it was published, I didn't realize it was on the shelves now!

Also, I also HATED Eat, Pray, Love. I won't bore you with all of the particulars, but so many people loved, loved, loved that book and it made me want to vomit. I'm always happy when I find someone else who dislikes it.

Ha! Thanks for the comment! I love meeting other people who did not like EPL. I feel like that should be a first date question. "Where are you from? What do you like to do? Did you like EPL?" ;) Personal preference. Although Gilbert does sing Dederer's praises on the jacket. :/ I suppose quite a mass of people did like it. ;)
