Personality: Gentle, kind, and helpful are the first few qualities that many people think about Aerith. Even though she lost her world at such a young age, it didn't affect her gentle and kind side, but it helped her realize that she needed to become stronger for those around her. Her kindness naturally brings people close to her by creating close friendships with them. Aerith enjoys to help others in any way that she possibly can which includes explaining the situation with detail and/or giving advice to those that need it. She might be sweet and gentle, but she has an unbreakable will. Aerith isn't afraid to speak her mind and fight against her enemies like the heartless. It's been hinted that Aerith was healing and fighting the heartless for over ten years and against the 1000 heartless battle. Aerith is very patient with others and is willingly to wait for her friends to come back from a personal battle or mission. She trusts her friends to the point that she won't chase after them and keep her promises.
Aerith enjoys to read all sorts of books especially about the philosopher Ansem the Wise because it explains a great deal about hearts, the heartless, worlds, and the keyblade. It was thanks to his reports that she was able to piece the information together. Her intelligence is shown from the very beginning of KH when she explains to Donald and Goofy about the keyblade, heartless, and worlds without his reports with her. She was also able to teach Sora the strongest cure spell known as curaga which also proves her intelligence and strength in using magic. Her mannerisms are similar as her FFVII counterpart because she is very polite, moves like her, and seems to be very intuitive with other people's feelings. She has a playful nature even in the most serious moments which was seen during the MCP fight where she downloads the deletion program and tells the system not to talk with it's mouth full. Aerith normally doesn't tease others, but she seems to naturally tease Cloud with ease which proves another similarity with her VII counterpart. She has a firm sense of duty which is seen when she joins the Hallow Bastion Restoration Committee because she feels it is her duty to help the others bring back her hometown's beauty which Maleficient and the heartless ruined. Then again, she felt it was her duty to help the keyblade master by giving him advice and telling him that she found the rest of Ansem the Wise's report and giving it back to him. (That is after Sora defeats Xehanort at Hallow Bastion, you have the choice in speaking to her or not, but she will tell you about finding the reports and gives it back to him while teaching him curaga).
She is also a generous person at heart because she gives Sora munny after meeting him for the first time. Then again, the Hallow Bastion/Radiant Gardens team use her to give Sora items or munny which she doesn't mind doing. Aerith isn't the type to wish bad luck to others not even her enemies and doesn't hold any grudges. She believes and trusts her friends with all of her heart. She believed that Sora was the only one who could save her world, she believed in the Restoration Committee will be able to restore Radiant Gardens, and she believes that Cloud will find his light and return back to her. Her confidence and faith in her friends is unquestionable. The few things that Aerith doesn't appreciate is other people being over-protective over her because she is capable of taking care of herself and she knows it. She is very stubborn whenever she wants to help someone, but she knows when it's time to be stubborn and when it isn't (the conversation she had with Cloud is the biggest example). But overall, it's easy to get along with Aerith and she'll treasure each and every relationship she has with others.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Aerith is very intelligent and will read just about anything over any type of subject that she is interested in or wants to know more about. She is able to memorize parts of a report after reading it a few times, so she has good memorization skills. Aerith knows a lot about first aid before she was able to learn how to use white magic. Her cooking skills aren't very good because she tends to confuse ingredients like sugar and salt. She is always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that she comes across and will do her best to help in anyway she possibly can. Her ability to read other people is one of her true strengths because of her intuition and she knows when it times to press for more information or not. Her patience and understanding nature helps people feel more comfortable around her and sometimes feel comfortable enough to tell her whatever is on their minds. She gives good advise because of that very nature and her experiences has helped her learn from them.
Whenever she does get mad, she won't be afraid to frowns at you and give you a tiny glare which could be quite intimidating if you stare long enough. First Person Sample: [Turning on her pokegear, she begins to record with a small smile on her lips.] Hello, hello? [She began to wonder if she was doing this right.] Can anyone hear me? I'm from Radiant Gardens and was somehow brought here. I read the trainers handbook, so I know I'm in a new world, but then again.... [She begins to giggle.] The background music would have told me otherwise. [She tilts her head with a smile on her lips.] Does anyone know Leon, Yuffie, or Cid? I would really like to speak with them or anyone from Radiant Gardens. [She touches her bangs with a soft smile.] I want to know if I'm the only one here.
Chanseeey~! [She turns to Chansey for a few moments.] Hm? Don't worry. We'll leave New Bark Town soon. I just need to do one thing before leaving, okay? [The Chansey nods her head happily which causes Aerith to smile, so she turns back to the pokegear.] This place is really interesting. I would have never imagined a world where people and other strange creatures could live peacefully like this. It's really amazing! Too bad, we can't live like this with the Heartless or Nobodies.
[Shaking her head a bit with the same smile on her lips.] Well, if anyone knows anything, then please let me know. I better get going before it gets too dark out.
Third Person Sample: Finding a good spot to sit, Aerith began to read a small handbook, that was found inside the swag bag that her "mother" packed for her, while sitting under a tree between the town lines of New Bark Town and Route 29. She decided to read the book hoping to find answers to her questions like -- Where she was? How she got there? Why she was brought here? And many other types of questions especially about the pokemon next to her.
Chansey was standing next to Aerith while looking around their surroundings, but it didn't take long for her to sit down and lean on top of her trainer. Aerith looked away from the book and smiled because her new friend was really adorable. After closing the book, she gave her a hug and asked, "Are you tired of waiting for me?" The Chansey nodded her head and responded, "Chansey!" Aerith giggled at her answer and asked, "You really can understand me, huh?" The Chansey nodded her head while sitting up. Aerith couldn't help smile at her new found companion and said, "Oh! I don't think we introduced ourselves, have we?" She extended her hand and said, "My name is Aerith, one of the Hallo--" Realizing that her homeworld was restored, she began to giggle and said, "I used to be a member of the Hallow Bastion Restoration Committee, but not anymore." Shaking her head a bit, she said softly, "Anyway! It's nice to meet you, Miss...?" Chansey smiled and held Aerith's hand with both of hers and said proudly, "Chansey!"
