Have you read George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series? The books are loooong and the series is still ongoing, but I've enjoyed the two I've read so far.
There's a 4 book trilogy called Memory Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams. I thoroughly enjoyed it, starts with "Dragonbone Chair." If I can dig them up, I'll lend them to you, but I'm not sure if they're in my house or my mom's.
If you're into sci-fi, I'd suggest Snow Crash, by Neal Stephenson. You can also have my copy of this.
I read Xanth and Discworld when I was younger, but honestly I can't really suggest those too much. They got too long and "in joke-y," if you ask me. Might be worth reading the first book or two of each, if you feel like it. I also might be able to find some of these.
I suck at reading anymore. I haven't been able to get through Good Omens yet, OR some of the others I've tried.

I was super into them for a while, but am sort of pissed because he started writing cash cow Jason Bourne books instead of the rest of the story.
