I fuckin' love Homestuck. I got into it because of general posts on 4Chan's /co/ that had all these pictures and unique looking characters. Then finaly I caved and it just really hooked me in. The latest act has just been mind-blowing with the last few pages.
Sadly, it's always hard to get new people into it because they tend to stop during the first act, citing that it's too boring. Mainly because things don't pick up until Hivebent. Well, I understand that, but I always suggest to keep with it. The first few acts give a lot of character depth. And the comic is total love <3
I first saw some pictures posted by eljay-friends of Homestuck, but didn't know what it was until a friend linked me. And I was hooked from the get-go. It just reminded me of all those old text-based adventure games I used to play as a kid!
It does require a certain type of person to enjoy the jokes and quirks of MSPA I think. I showed a friend and we ended up plowing through the first act, reading the pesterchum logs aloud, just being randomly silly before realizing that we had been neglecting our other friends playing N64 in the same room!
