Getting ready for fall: onions and potatoes

Yesterday was onion day. I bought live onion seedlings from Seeds of Change and received them a couple of weeks ago, but had been too busy to actually get them into the ground. So they'd been languishing in pots on my (covered) porch, pining for sun and a bit of room to stretch their legs

I can't imagine starting a fall garden so soon. You are in Maine? I know there were some things I liked about the South.

Massachusetts! The seedlings want to go in when the soil is still pretty cold; we'll see if they actually produce as advertised.
