I am happy and sad that LJ has fallen out of the mainstream keep-up of my friends. This used to be my home (and hot damn I love my user pic). But now, the beneficial side of this is that I can post my most horrible comments about "friends" whom have given me up for the dark side of life. ...comments to follow...and they will be scathing.

I completely agree with you. It does make me sad that so many people have left LJ for more superficial ways of communicating with each other. My entire last seven years are here in LJ-land. This place is my home. But I do feel I can say more here and only the special "loyal" people will see it.

On a side note, I am reading Snow Crash right now and saw your username several times. I immediately think of you when I see it in the book.
