Points for Team Buffy!

Aug 07, 2009 17:30

whedonland's writing challenges have been getting me back into the fanfiction in a big way. not as big a way as my first real full-length fanfic (a crossover, at that!) that's in the editing stages right now (i'm super, super excited about that, btw), but when team buffy needs points, i come a-writing. here are three samples of the writing i've done for ( Read more... )

btvs is classic, - ficlets + drabbles, whedonland, - fanfic, firefly ftw

"Magic" is absolutely beautiful! I love Tara, especially the inner strength you don't always see... and I think you brought that out very nicely here. I don't imagine she likes violence, so her pride in solving a problem without traditional weapons is so very Tara, as well.

And "Birds and Bees" is cute, in an "oh, poor Spike" sort of way. I like how he realizes falling for Tara is good for Willow, and only afterward realizes that in a way, it's a disappointment to him.

haha, same with me, which is why i chose "magic" as the weapon to answer the prompt with! : )

yeah, for some reason i got the impression spike was always pretty pro willow and tara. dunno why, though...

Mmmmmm, the Spillow was LOVELY. I'm a rather huge fan of one-side unrequited stuff - cause, um, yummy. Although, technically, both the original bird and the bee in the book are male - but I do like the metaphor. :D

The Willow/Tara one, I agree, isn't like a full-fledged fic or anything, but it's quite nice for a drabble, which isn't supposed to present big-ass ideas anyways. Especially the last two lines - just right.

And haiku! I love haikuuuuuu. *eats*

And thanks for doing the font color thing, I appreciate it!

(Oh and BTW, if you ever need like a beta or something, I do that sometimes. The offer is open.)

It's Perfectly Normal, which is a sex ed book for kids, and has, literally, cartoons of a bird and a bee in the margin talking about sex. My mother's big into sex ed stuff, so I get to learn about these things. :P

Totally. They are like my BFFs.

Saw these over at Whedonland. Really great to see where they come from. I'm sure that haiku was one of the ones I voted for and I really love that Spike/Willow ficlet (never shipped them myself but that made me really feel them. Poor Spike). If at first you don't succeed just remember your entries are brilliant anyway. :D

I'd love a sig banner too if you're still up for making some. Don't particularly care what, though something from Buffy, Firefly or Dr Horrible would be fantastic. :)
