I just find it fucking stupid that I see all these people on the Montreal LJ community writing 10 thousand fucking posts about the same fucking incident showing their grief and shit while about 5,000 other people died of some other unfair way in the last hour

what happened is sad, but i understand what you mean totally... living in the third world and all, where practically no one cares what happens.

Yeah, I was in a bad mood I guess last night and was hard a bit. It is sad but why aren't people as sad when people get injured or killed in a bus accident?

It's disapointing.

maybe because those are accidents and could have been prevented. as opposed to things like this, which poses a question to the society about the individual who contemplated the murder.. etc. like what motivated him, etc.

I agree. It's also because since Canada and the US are "civilized" countries, people are not used to seeing something like this. They're all like "Thats unacceptable! It shouldn't happen here!", yet they don't know that people in other countries live through worse shit on a daily basis.
