it's been a long time coming
so this summer is, well, it's blah. i spend most of my time thinking about the things that i want/need to do when i get back to the city and a lot of time setting up a life plan for myself. this life plan, if all goes well, seems pretty realistic to me and makes me somewhat excited for my future in publishing, for my desire to become a bona fide

i feel you on the family front. i think my situation might be a tad better, but still. it makes me scared for the future, and not just with my family, but with a lot of people, and not that i won't be able to interact with people who don't have my same views, but that i won't be able to interact with people who don't share my same (intellectual, i will say it) approach to things.
the world is a scary, scary place, but i love you, so, yeah. in other words, take heart, and know that you are not alone.
