Why is there a Kurtofsky big bang? I don't watch Glee but even I know that the big dude bullied and physically and verbally tormented Kurt. This spells romance how...?

Having just watched the episode - I know why, do you want spoilers tho? (not saying Kartofsky is EVER gonna be a character I would want to read a BB about - I pretty much detest him)

Someone gave me the spoilers. I guess I understand a bit better now. But still, redemption arc aside, my take is "no, just....no"

Don't watch Glee but I think he also kissed Kurt..which apparently is enough in this day and age to erase vicious bullying.

I do watch Glee, but am only peripherally familiar with the bb and glee fandom, so this comment is only going to be about the show. Karofsky has had a huge story arc that has taken him from being a bully to exploring his own issues to coming close to worshiping Kurt for his openness. The only K/K fics I've read occur when they are both adults and coming together at that time regarding their past bully/victim relationship (fics written before the current season, which involves the majority of the Karofsky development), so I don't know how writers who approach the teen years are handling it. But the arc on the show has been very interesting and Karofsky is being used to explore some big issues regarding bullying, being in the closet, and a major spoiler I won't mention.
