UGH, I have no clue what is wrong with me.  I've literally written 8,000 words for not less than 4 different stories, and I've given up on each one.  None of them feel right. I can't believe I'm gonna fail at the Fanmedia Challenge at the very end.  The end, not the 2nd round or the 3rd round--no, I wait until the end to choke.  [Insert dramatic

It's not gonna happen. I've started 3 fics for the cowboy boots prompt and 1 for the wheat/grass stalk one. None of them are going anywhere.

i hate it when you get so far into something & it just doesn't feel right. there's no point in arguing with your muse either, because if it isn't right, it isn't right - except when it is.

maybe there's something that needs to be changed in one or more of them that can change the whole feeling of the piece into something that feels right.

even if there isn't, don't beat yourself up over it. make a point to write something every day: 1000 words, 100 words - it really doesn't matter. just write something.

Awww, thank you, bb. Yeah--the stories just don't feel right. I can't seem to build the tension, and without the tension it just reads as dumb. Sigh.

Wow. There seems to be a lot of that going around. I have 22k of a fic I dropped sitting in my delete file, and several attempts at writing since then. I think my muse died or something. I hope yours is only on a vaycay, and comes back soon. *hugs you hard*
