i disliked it. the characters are cardboard. the plot may be busy but doesn't really amount to anything. the situations are cliched. the dragon lady's emotional arcs aren't convincing and some bits feel like they're simply excuses to let sylvia channel elegant ennui or to howl majestically.

starts off compelling and hilarious. but it loses steam very quickly. holt can't write about love, it becomes tremendously dull.
