What a difference a day makes...

A friend of mine took a vacation to Florida and posted this on his FaceBook page. I think the picture is great and the subject matter is nothing short of astounding. Luv it luv it luv it.

Hmm, I cant' get Livejournal to take the image address, but you can see it directly here

I lost today. Was discharged from the hospital about 3AM, got a ride home about 8AM, finally got to sleep around 10AM. I cut off my phones and woke up several times - someone came by in the middle and I had trouble getting back to sleep. Slept until 1AM, got up and fixed something to eat, took my evening meds and spent about and hour on email.

And I'm going back to bed ... the problem is still not solved. My right leg is giving out and I'm having to use the cane to walk around the house - my right knee keeps poinging out of function sending me down if I don't have the cane. It is also very unnatural to use the cane on the side opposite of the leg with the injury. It actually makes more sense, but it feels wrong - using the 3-legged gate with the cane in my left hand to counteract the weakness of the right leg means that every time I step off with cane-right, it reduces the weight to be borne by the weak leg.

In truth, I just need to lose the weight again - it is the direct cause of the problem. Gravity is not my friend. It never was, but I used to be young and strong, and now I am neither.

We had some snow today - looks like about 4 inches. It was already 2 inches by the time I got home around 8:30A. Kept falling all day. It should melt off tomorrow, but my trailer is not really very well insulated so the cold makes me keep my heat on more than I would like, but given the choice of having heat or not having heat ...

I have been out of touch with everyone today. I have a lot of phone calls to make tomorrow and I'm going to get some more sleep.
