An Epidemic of Emotional Poverty

The holidays are hard on a lot of people, for a variety of reasons, so no hard feelings whatsoever :) That being said, I still have a cheesy-yet-lovely mix CD with your name on it should you ever want it! I can easily change it from a Christmas CD to a Groundhog's Day CD, if that suits your fancy :) Drop me a line if you feel like it.

I *had* in fact wondered what you were up to and if everything was going well in your world. The holidays are a tough time for many people. I understand how hard not to have a 'signficant other' when the whole world seems to be 'paired up' (I was single for five years before getting back into the dating scene again).

Sometimes, when you feel 'stuck,' the best thing you can do is stir up the pot and create some changes in your life (which is sounds like you're preparing to do). Years ago, I was in a similar situation. After my divorce, I finally moved away from the university-town I had lived in for years, realising that I needed to start fresh. It was a good decision for me - I made new friends out of sheer necessity (I knew no-one). I was able to reshape my life and find a new path.

I think 2006 may be 'your year'! Hang in there - I'm pulling for you!
