Broadcast News
My friend Ted is an intern this summer at the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, and he invited me to the station yesterday for a tour. Very, very, very cool!
1. The news team chats during last night's Channel 13 Eyewitness News at 6:00 on WTHR television.
2. The news studio control room. Left to right are the producer, associate producer, director, and video switcher operator. In the second row (you can see a bit of it) are workstations for the associate producer and graphics editor. Behind me is the audio technician. The center-most TV monitor in front is dark -- which means we're in a commercial break.
3. My friend Ted at the anchor desk. He's an intern working with various reporters. Watch this space! That anchor desk might eventually be his.
4. If I had known Ted would sit me down right there, I'd have worn a tie! (Which I had planned to do ... but it was ~95ºF that day.)
5. Meteorologist Chris Wright preps for a live cut-in for severe weather going through the area.
6. I'm having a look through WTHR's SkyTrak Weather Center.
