Only the cat saw the sin that I hide,
and even she has no clue of the thoughts I kept inside,
languidly licking her supper from a platter,
staring poker-faced my way with coppery eyes.
I imagine I can be as indifferent as she,
bored, and slinking offhanded, remorselessly.
My thoughts curl once about the matter,
and try to sink into sleep.
