I have to agree. Writing whump would be challenging. I just hope that if there is fic, writers won't rely too much on 'he came in bleeding, not noticing he was injured' kind of thing. Kind of an interesting show, I wish the agent was a guy though. But I'm glad she has a sense of humor and not overly serious about her job.
I also agree with the whole Stephen King thing. While I'm not a huge fan, I don't mind watching some stuff. I really liked The Dead Zone for the first season, then it lost its focus. Hope Haven will stay on track.
*Nod* Some of Stephen King's stuff just gets too off-the-wall for me. If I can't even imagine it happening in the realm of sci fi, it's going too far. So far, Haven's pretty 'believable' for me. :)
I kind of like that the agent is female. It gives the show this whole reversed Mulder & Scully thing since Nathan's the skeptic (although I definitely prefer his character over hers). And yes, she's not as serious or severe as a lot of the female agents/cops on TV, which is nice. The tough-girl thing gets tiresome for me after awhile.
With any luck there will be fic. It's too early to expect much I guess, but hopefully in a few more episodes some will start showing up. If not, I'll just have to write my own. ;)
