Most Haunted Live

OK, for those of you who know what I'm talking about and know more about the show than I do, about how much of it you think is faked? I mean, aside from Yvette's screaming.

(I'm still gonna watch most of it, regardless of how much is faked XD)

If it's anything like the haunted programs I have had the misfortune of watching, it will be nothing on camera actually needing to be faked. Everything will happen off camera along with some stupid spooky music.

What they were doing was cutting to commercial then coming back going "something really freaky just happened!" and then they'd "rewind the tape" and show something ;D

I'm still gonna watch it, though, it's very entertaining!!

Very fake. Have you seen the "Mary loves Dick" clip?

This shows what goes on after they cut back to the studio (it's probably pre-recorded, so even cutting back to the studio is fake). This clip:

is the same again, but as it appeared on the live show. Nightvision green tint added!

Oh and while I'm giving YouTube links, here's the link to my own videos: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=SqueakyGibson

Hey! Your videos are cool! OK I didn't watch all of 'em, but it's 7:30am so gimme a break ;D

Those MH clips are hilarious XD In the live one (in case you're not watching) they keep having cool stuff happen while they're at commercial or something and then "rewinding" the tape. The funniest thing they said, though, was that they do a "protection ritual" before every investigation. I wish I could remember more of that discussion.
Anyway, thanks for those links, awesome XD

I used to think MH was just about the best show on TV. The early episodes, where Derek seemed to obtain correct information about the location and/or time period, were pretty good.

Then, he just flaked out and kept getting "possessed" by a variety of different entities and I kind of lost interest. Some of the stuff has been genuinely spooky (like the beer barrel rolling down the tracks) but I think most of what's being presented is generally manufactured by the editing and/or by the crew's expectations.

I don't think things are deliberately faked, but the interpretations of random bumps in the night are sometimes over the top. Most of the "vigils" they do just annoy me now.

I think that's what is amusing me the most - they'll hear something that I would interpret as the house settling or a squirrel on the rooftop and they'll scream like it's the ghost of Bigfoot or something XD

Derek is totally the best part of the show. I've only been watching it for about a year or so, so maybe it'll start to annoy me too. But I doubt television will ever convince me of ghosts ;)
