The computer situation is getting worse. We couldn't find an IP address. Should I just buy a new modem?

I need to be looking for jobs & I have an editing contract to finish. I can't do those things with a barely working internet or with an old mouse that is hard to move.

Please, please, please HELP!!!

Is your router through your ISP?
