awwwww, Scotty is one of my all-time favourites as well (and Alex too, by extension). I have an inveterate love for "uninteresting" characters who are the ones who doggedly keep the whole machinery running.

He's my favorite too. He's got ONE superpower, and that one doesn't even WORK right, and he's still the leader and keeps things together and working all the time, because he Gets Shit Done.

They've actually gone out of their way to make him pretty cool in recent years. My favorite Cyclops-centric story lately had him lose his powers (AGAIN. I know. Yawn.) in the middle of a super-villain attack. So he immediately just grabs a gun, walks out, and shoots all the bad guys. Seriously, he's the first guy to think of doing that??
