(I am not fond of the decision to cast Gyllenhaal as the prince. But that is both hilarious and excellent.)

Acknowledging the problematic aspects of a project one is involved in, cool. Having a wry sense of humor about them, even cooler.

Unless the actors themselves are asses, I don't hold them responsible with the level of ire reserved for directors' bad casting decisions.

At the end of the day, it's their job to portray people they aren't. And while some of that is art, a lot of it spells work.
