I disagree. I'm not trying to start shit, but we hate him because he's not good enough for you or Liam. We want the BEST for you because YOU DESERVE IT.

You're not disagreeing. You're agreeing because your belief that he is not good enough for me or Liam is, in effect, saying that you do not want me to share my life with him.

And that's when I have to say: all of you need to grow up and realize that I am grown up and not only can I make my own life decisions, I WILL make my own life decisions. If you do not like my decisions, that is fine. If, however, you do not RESPECT my decisions, that is when the line has been crossed and interference with my life occurs. I will not allow your opinions and beliefs (and resulting actions and behaviors)dictate my life.

Once again, if you truly cared you would have more respect for my decisions and that is clearly lacking. There is a very real difference between caring for someone and pushing one's views onto someone, and our family is infamous for not knowing the difference. I am not blaming anyone here. I have let this go on too long without standing up for myself, and I plan on explaining this more fully in the near future.
