So the Scholastic Book Fair is this week and I had decided since graduation is not too far off that I would start collecting books for my classroom. This won't help with the sugar daddy issue but...

If you are ever near where we used to live in Chamblee, there is a place called Kudzu Books on Peachtree Inds. that has a lot of discount kids books. I don't know if they'd have the classics you want, (no kids, so haven't looked for books since a few Xmas's ago). They usually had pretty good prices though.

yard sales and thrift stores. I have about 200 chiildren's books I have bought as an adult and I don't think I have spent more the .50 on any of them. Type out a list of what you want and e-mail it to me. I will staple it to my list and be on the look out. The books will be used but if children are going to use them anyway I think that is ok.

Some of my favorites are Richard Scarry especially the busy town series, Older Golden books not disney knock off ones,Madeline, anything by David Shannon, Little Critter and other Mercer Mayer stories and Jan Brett is my favorite artist. She did the Mitten which you may have read. It's one of my favorite books. OH! Felicia Bond writes and illustrates a book called Tumble Bumble that is the best book ever. I love it so much. I will definitly get it for you if I see it.

You MUST get all of Roald Dahl's books (The Witches, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, etc.) and no Children's library would be complete without HARRY POTTER! Anyhoo, much love and I'll ttyl

They have this great Roald Dahl Treasury book that I keep salivating over, but can't possibly afford. I'm afraid as much as I love Harry Potter it is a little too controversial, and certainly too old for a bunch of 5-7 year olds!
