Snopes has a response to this e-mail chain. Turns out our not buying gas for a day has very little effect except hurting our own economy by punishing the small business owner rather than OPEC.
Gas prices are outrageous. But then again, I still remember the heart attack of filling my tank in Scotland. Cost to me: $70!!!!!
