Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
The ongoing quest for a real social life has been going smoothly, but I guess there's still something left to be desired.
Last Sunday I went with my buddy Nick to a paintball course called SC Village in Corona, CA (about 30min drive from Irvine). When we got there, it was a little intimidating. This field is one of the more popular ones in SoCal, so a lot of the better players (i.e. 1000$ guns) play here. It was pretty cheap, only about 10$ for All day play, and another 10 for all day air. 20$ and ur good for hours. There were no refs on the Speedball fields, so it was more of like a pickup Paintball game so to speak.... you just jump on, make teams, and go at it. There's usually people watching who will Call the game and act as refs to tell people when they're out. Since there were no refs, no one chrono'd their fucking gun @_@ which means people shooting hot, about 300+ feet per sec (usually its restricted at 285). I got some fuckin hella nasty bruises... in fact, my left arm is pretty purple as seen here:
All in all, it was pretty fucking fun.
Not much happened at the beginning of the week... Laguna Beach night on Monday with my homegirls Richell and Rachael along with my roommate Timmay. Tuesday was dinner night.. Richell came over and we made some baked chicken+stuffing.. some crap that u get in a box at the supermarket.. it was damn good tho ^_^...
Wednesday Night is the highlight of the week: Poker Night. Some old dormmates were bored, so we decided to throw together a quick Poker Night.. we were hoping for maybe 6 people, 5$ buy in.. a friendly tourny. We ended up with 13 people split across 2 tables with a 65$ pot :D We decided to split the pot, 45$ to the winner, 15$ to 2nd, and 5$ to the 3rd. Started at 10:30 PM on a WED and ended at fucking 3:30 AM lol.. Too many tight conservative players on the final table made it drag on and on.. we had to raise blinds like every 10 min cuz people were playing too slow, laying down good hands cuz they were scared to get out before they reached 3rd place (pussiesss). I didn't do so hot lol.. was 4th at my table of 7.. went All-In with the short stack on an Ace-5.. and the chip leader called me with an Ace-10 :( Fucker won cuz of the 10 kicker >:] Probably a bad call to go All-In with an Ace-5, but I seriously had no chips left (* ; _ ;). Anyway, we're gonna make this a weekly thing, so more poker axn in weeks to come.
Last Night (Thurs): A grip (i.e. a lot) of us went to Shin-sen-gumi (a japanese ramen bar) to eat. Originally introduced to me by Pyronikari, I love the place. Rachael, Erika, Richell, Bao, Terrison, Nelson, and I had to wait like 20 min to sit down in this 20 person restaurant (the restaurant is actually 2 sides, the Ramen side and the regular food side, with the ramen side being smaller) but it was well worth it. The ladies went home afterwards, and the guys picked up one of Nelson's girl friends and went to a TDB (Theta Delta Beta) fundraiser event. It was a club in fuckin Santa Monica @_@ which is like an hour drive away from Irvine lol.. Overall it was pretty chill though.. a little bit more guys than girls, but not much (a huge relief from the usual sausage fests around here). Wasnt really feelin it, so I didnt dance very much for the first hour or so.. then came the drinks ^____^. I had some nasty drink called Adios Motherfucker, and its pretty much true to its name. Needless to say, I loosened up and had a lot more fun haha. The girls were ok.. there werent very many hot girls, which kinda killed it. Most of them were just aiight, but I wasnt really lookin to hook up anyway. Still a little bit down from my past relationship but hopefully able to overcome that in a few weeks by meeting new people n such. Went to Denny's afterwards in a drunken stupor and ended up crawling into bed around 4:30 AM.
And so that leaves today, Friday Oct 7th. Gotta kill time until about 10 PM when Rachael is throwing a house party. Her parties are usually packed to the max, cuz she knows a lot of people >.> including all of Irvine TDB Chapter... Not really sure if its gonna be fun or not, but I'll go check it out. Welp, I'm fuckin starving cuz I just spent the past 2 hours reinstalling all my shit (i had to reformat) and write this long ass LJ. Props to anyone who made it to the end! And I leave you with this...
