I got the biggest surprised of my life today...when i can't access my external hard drive. my initially reactions was maybe i did missed something so i turned it off again & reconnect it...but still it showed the same message as before. i don't know what to do & i don't how i felt & i just ended up crying. i called my bestfriend to tell what i ( Read more... )

yeah me too...it's a huge file & have a folder w/c contains all my important documents as well...thanks

I know what you're feeling girl. My hdd at critical state too..sometimes it would be ejected even before I eject that *you know what I mean,right?*

yeah! i know...but i always encountered that w/ my usb...this is really a shocker for me!

Don't lose hope! You might still be able to get it to work! A good technician, even if he might not be able to repair your HD fully, might be able to retrieve your files. Try getting the inner drive out to access it via a new enclosure. That's what my friend did when my laptop malfunctioned.

It might not be a hard drive failure yet. Keep fighting!

i got this problem around 2 weeks ago .. but luck was on my side .. it was not the harddisk in special but the cabel from the casing .. so all i needed was a new casing and now it works again ... perhaps you should let it check from a profi :-)

my friend told me that possibility too...hope that it's just the case, ne...i let professionals handle this coz i'm afraid that i might ruin it more if ever i try to something...i'm still in grade school when it comes to computers & stuff...but thanks...
