To the asshole who hit my car...

First off, I'd like to thank you for a) not hitting the car while I was in it, and b) doing mostly cosmetic damage. The dent in the door can be fixed without much effort, but the paint is toast. I hope you get caught, because in all likelihood, the car you were driving was stolen. Why else would it be without plates or identifying tags of any ( Read more... )

On the 1st I accidentally backed into a PARKED car whose first 3 feet of the front end were in my driveway. I was backing down the driveway to give my kid more room to shut our garage door and ran right into him. I put a fist sized dent in what I thought was his bumper. Turns out it was right above the bumper to the right of his headlight. Anyway, I got out and photographed EVERYTHING, including the way he had carelessly parked. I got freaked out, called Josh, and didn't know what to do. I was really mad because some guy parked like a jackass and I backed into him, and scared of what was going to happen to me. Well-I ended up leaving without leaving him a note. I wrote it, got scared, got mad, and left. I'd have left the note if it would have been clearly my fault, or if the person were in the car. Despite my logic, I still felt HORRIBLE.

:( Aw, I'm sorry. That's a crap situation all the way around. Have you heard anything back on it yet? Best of luck with it--hopefully nothing bad comes of it. Don't let the guilt kill you; it was impulsive, and probably not the wisest decision, but it's over and you can't go back to change it. *hugs*

I saw the car that hit my car. It was just a messed up situation in a parking lot that involved an initial highway fender-bender, which escalated into a fight, and the guy who hit my car deliberately backing into another car (and hitting mine in the process). That car had no plates, no dealer tag, nothing. My spidey senses tell me there was definitely something illegal about that car, whether it was the car itself or the driver.
