so, i'm at work and vee suprised me by being here making up hours. that means she's handling what little's in the box and i get to sit here reading ss/hg fic and playing with livejournal all day. ^_^ works for me

Yeah they had to come to my house 5 times and replaced the modem twice to get it fixed. I told them each of the 8 times I called to bring a "NEW" modem because that was the problem. They brought one of those crappy black modems (had refurb sticker on it) and it worked for 3 days then quit. I finally lost my temper and started cursing and screaming at the tech on the phone after he asked me to repeat the steps I had done on each call before. After that they had a tech bring me a new modem at 7pm. They had to call the supervisor for the local office at home who went and unlocked the door at the local office to allow the tech to get one of the older model but still new beige Motorola Surfboard modems to replace the defunct one. All in all they made 5 trips to my house, tested the lines 6 times replaced the lines 4 times, added and removed filters from the lines at the pole end, checked the switch at the station twice and each time I told them the problem was with the modem.
