Well, looks like all the images in my posts will be unavailable for awhile until I can migrate them to a different image hosting site. Photobucket has decided to no longer allow free third-party hosting...

IKR? I don't know what they are thinking - they are going to lose a LOT of traffic from their site - which apart from offering the HTML for the 3rd party hosting isn't a great place to store pics.

There's a petition going round as a protest - I've signed but don't think it's going to get enough traction to have any impact.

If you find a good platform that supports Gifs as well as still photos, let me know! I'm trying photoland.io but they have a daily upload limit which is irritating. I use Flickr for still photos - they are good, give you 1TB storage for free.

hmmm, never heard of photoland.io. daily upload limit isn't too much of a problem for me since i plan on migrating things very slowly and in tiny chunks (assuming PB even sticks to their shitty new plan, that is).

People have since pointed me to imgur, which also has a daily upload limit but no other limits on storage. I was using that for GISHWHES and it's ok. I don't like the interface much, bits of it seem counter intuitive, but it works well otherwise!

oh?!! Imgur doesn't have a storage limit you say? in that case, i will most likely migrate there. thanks for the tip. <3

(not that my PB account is full, it's only at 8%, but unlimited does sound enticing for future storage needs)
