I'm actually debating to write this as a oneshot, since I do have a back-story and all. ie: who was dead, what happened at the ceremony.

It would be a really fluffy fic if I did write it; almost a hurt/comfort fic.

That is so Umi. I would love a one-shot in context but drabbles are brilliant.

You could do a drabble cycle (i.e. like a sonnet cycle with drabbles) and have the one-shot feel (eventually) composed of various drabbles. If you want to see an example of said thing, try greywing. She has one for Mai Otome that's incredibly good.
