Why I'm voting for Barack Obama

Even the most cynical, anti-government of us are starting to be won over.
Got this comment from my mentor, who I have rarely, if ever, known to endorse a politican:

Yup. Obama (and all of his PR and marketing personel) have done a brilliant and monumental job of helping keep at the forefront of peoples' minds the fact that "politics" is a play within a play and it's ultimately not about winning or losing; it's about everyone having food, shelter, and medical care.

I don't have a tendency of believing that you can save a sinking ship too far from port by changing the captain. Still, I am willing to give the guy a shot to at least steer us from the glaciers, unify the people and plan for a future better than this present. I don't agree with the way they have been tauting him as "the man of HOPE" in their campaign and have few reservations that a 'chipper, go get em' personality is what we need. But hell, I am as cynical as they come and still willing to vote for this oreo.
