No sleepy hollow

Jan 25, 2007 08:36

Nice.

I finally fell asleep at 3:30 a.m. this morning. I'm functioning on 2 hours of sleep. WHEEEEE!

I don't drink coffee.
Today's a busy day.

You see where I'm going here? Seinfeld = George sleeping under his desk.

Insomnia, it's what's for dinner.

insomnia, sleep and the lack thereof

What did you even do until 3:30??

I never want to go to bed at night- I am like a kid. I just don't want to force myself to go to sleep, even when I am tired. It's because I know in the morning I will have to go to work and that sucks.

1. Laid there and tried to meditate to get myself to sleep.
2. Charlie started to snore...relocated to living room.
3. Still can't sleep so I go pet kitties.
4. Try to go back to bed w/Charlie, but the snoring...
5. I could wear earplugs, but I have trouble sometimes getting my mind comfortable enough to fall asleep wearing them when I can't hear a thing. If my house were on fire, I wouldn't know.
6. Started to think about my past, missing my family, started to cry...a good cry...but one of missing people, etc.
7. Blew my nose a thousand times.
8. Finally went back to bed w/Charlie and snuggled to get warm and eventually went to sleep.

Yipes.

Rough night... I'm sorry. :(

If my house were on fire, I wouldn't know.

But Charlie would, and he'd likely find a successful way to pass on that information, earplugs or no. And otherwise, I'm sure you'd figure it out eventually. *nods*

Oh, insomnia. So, SO not fun. You're in good company, though--I think it hits about everyone. There are even a few songs about it--Green Day's "Brain Stew," 311's "Flowing"... Hopefully tonight will be better.

Aww thanks. I hope so too. I'll admit it's just not the "house on fire" excuse...but also the things that go bump in the night. I guess I want to hear the "bump" before it gets to me and drags me under the bed in the under-the-bed-monster land.

Are you kidding? Anyone who has Grey's Anatomy user icons is a friend of mine. Hahaha :)

I loved your entry about the homeless man and we've got a lot of similar "life events" some good and some not so good. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary!

Funny, we both posted about the 3 a.m. thing...*twilight zone music*

It must be a sign b/c I rarely check communities and today...I did for some reason. :)

I thought of you last night because my M-I-L was talking about this spiritual event she had a few years ago. She described it as feeling like there was light all around her and feeling totally at peace and wishing that everyone could feel like she does.

Any of that sound like what you felt?

Aww, that's awesome! Does she feel that way a lot or was it a one time thing?

Mine has been an unfolding of knowledge so-to-speak. Each day I have more questions and I practically get immediate answers. I've even "tested" it by asking for physical proof and have received little incidences here and there. I still keep my mind open and question everything. I'm practically a blank slate and the stuff I'm learning is awesome. I'm just not quite ready to share some of it with others b/c it's so personal to me.

I'm so sorry, I am not trying to prod you if you're not ready to talk about it. I was just curious if what she described was anything like what you had experienced.

This is completely random, but I know you play WoW, so I'd thought I'd ask. (shamelessly also posted on Charlie's LJ)> My friend veldurn just bought the game, and he is looking for people to play with. Would you be willing to play with him, or recommend a server or anything?

Ya ya ya!

We're Brynlee and Slashem on Alliance side for the Sentinel sever and then Gavriella and Rinshala on the horde side.

We have guilds of the same peeps on both sides. Blue Kamikaze (A) and Blood Kamikaze (H). We'd be happy to give him an immediate invite. We're a really cool bunch of LJ pals playing so he'll fit right in.

We also have the bluekamikaze gathering place... perhaps you could point your friend in that direction.

WoW = good times.
