I bet you could make those look up to date and fabulous by replacing the drawer pulls (handles?) with something more modern. Maybe I've watched too many decorating shows on cable, but I bet with a nice, stainless steel or silver pull with a clean line, the dresser and nightstand would look amazing! I really like the idea of conserving "out of date" furniture with updated details-- it's good for the environment for the wallet.
Great idea! I always thought to do that with kitchen counter cabinets, but I should look at Lowe's and see what they've got for drawer pulls. I could bring the old one in and match the length to a new style.
I can't tell from the pictures if the furniture is heavily dented, marked or water stained. If it is, we won't be getting it. From what I can see though, it looks in great condition for it's age.
