the translation of emotions into words or speech

When I think about it, it's really odd and funny to think that any emotion I feel can be experienced or understood by someone else exactly as I have felt it. When I say emotion, do I really mean something else? It's something more like a sensation, something that suddenly hits us that for some reason we try to explain. It was a joke because I was trying to express a sensation I had into the limits of language. I guess you could say emotions are easily lost in translation. (that was another joke, and that movie sucked) I'm asking if everyone feels this way, and you might reply, "Yes, I understand how you feel." But really, the answer should be, "Yes, I understand how I feel," by fact of design, by acknowledging you are simply answering to yourself and only to yourself in any attempt to convey information about yourself, as is the other person in their attempt to understand you.
