I just got back from the vets. The vet gave me time with Sarsha alone in a room. She was happy to see me, I just stayed there for ages hugging her and remembering oh so much times we were together from when we were at our holiday home in Rye, when I used to put her in my swimming pool, taking her for walks down merri creek... *hugs* Kain, buddy, I'm deeply sorry about your loss, but as you said, Sarsha will always hold a special place in your heart, and you will never forget her and I know you will always cherish those memories. She will always be with you.

Condolences on losing a much loved pet. The special bond between companion animals and humans can only be understood truly by those it adversely affects, for good or ill. I doubt I can say anything else which may alleviate the grief... But I'm sure that in life she appreciated your camaraderie, as does she now in an even greater capacity.
