I very much liked the little nod to the Charles/Erik relationship, at the beginning; also, loved James NOT having mutant mindreading powers, and boys being drunk and giddy with laughter, and this: he was drunk and happy and proud of himself that he finally made the first step, telling James that he was handsome was a great accomplishment. Aww, Michael. <3

Also all the moments after that, James and his self-doubt and Michael being so very passionately convincing. And also your last line, which is just perfection. :-)
