It's nice to have a vowel to counter balance the three consonants. Gotta keep a nice consonant-vowel ratio!

In terms of what to trade, it depends on the opponent to me. Some people will use opponent information more to their advantage than others. I think I prefer ORST to IRST because they seem pretty similar and because the pool has more Os than Is. But I don't know for sure. Trading IOV, opp might still alter their play a bit, but not nearly as often as after OV. It's tough. I'm not a huge fan of OT, and VISOR seems like it gives a fair amount of stuff away to opp. I think I might exchange, but, as you said, it's a hard play.

The worst part was that I overdrew to start and lost the blank... but I drew it back right after VISOR!

i'd keep irst, just because.

it might depend on the opponent, but my choices in order would probably be trade VOI and then playing visor

trade just the O with the hopes of pulling a U, opponent exchanging, and playing VROU* the next turn.
