A small piece of the X-Files puzzle has fallen into place for me.

Yeah you didnt know that? Mulder found his sisters diary and the clones were made from her after she had gone through the treatments from the "abductions" when the families had to give up one of their children. He saw her in that episode lost souls or whatever with all the ghost children running around in the field and mulder saw her and she came up and hugged him. He initially thought that, that man had killed her with the other children. So she recieved the same treatment that scully got just more times, but yeah the whole thing that mulder saw is just what he wants to have had happened in the past.

I don't think I've ever watched X-Files in order. I always thought the episode where Mulder encounters his sister's fourteen year old spirit was way earlier in the series. I had already figured she had gone there after the abduction, and the clones were made of her DNA probably extracted during the experiments. But then who did Mulder meet in the diner? A clone? Why the hell would the Smoking Man raise a clone as the real thing?

Plus, the whole "closure" thing was really half-assed. I guess because they knew Mulder was leaving the series they needed a way to end the mystery. And they chose a real crappy way to do it. She was spirited away by walk-ins? What the hell.
