I just realized that won't work because it's friend locked. May I copy/paste your recipes? Or would you prefer they remain friend-locked?

I know! It is very hard for me not to nibble as I chop the chocolate. I have taken to buying a small candy bar just for me for when I am making these recipes because it was getting too "One piece for me, one for the sauce pot. TWO pieces for me, one for the sauce pot." :D So now I have my own little stash and the recipe comes out perfectly. :)

One thing that I didn't notice until I was making up my shopping list ... I was going to try the Crème de Cacao Balls, but a co-worker is allergic to nuts. Can you suggest a substitute?

The nuts are really just for their flavor and I cannot think of anything comparable that would make a good substitute. I have made them without nuts before and they still taste wonderful. That would be my best suggestion - to just leave the nuts out. The balls are really sweet on their own, so adding something like chocolate or white chocolate chips would probably be over kill.

Also, because the nuts do not absorb any of the liquid, you should not have to change any of the measurements when you start mixing everything together. It is going to look as though there is no way that little amount of liquid will bind everything together, but trust me it will. If for any reason the mixture does seem runny, then just add a little extra crushed cookies to absorb the extra liquid.

Subversa suggested a peek over here. I'm glad I listened to her. I think I'll be using these recipes this season.
Thank you.
Patty

PS. May I add you to my flist?

I just saw the Chocolate covered Brandied Cherries recipe that you posted on Subvers LJ. Those sound utterly divine. I will have to add cherries to my shopping list and try them. My mum is a big fan of chocolate covered cherries so I am sure that they will be a hit with her too. Thank you for sharing!! :)
