Well, like so many, I'm recently (like, within hours) back from seeing the new Batman film and, feeling a deep need to leap out of my skin with excitement, I had to blab my thoughts all over my journal... :) Red alert; spoilers abound!

Feel you on the predictability; there were a few shots where I thought to myself, "oh, ok, we're being set up for something, we're going to come back to this later". I was pretty happy with the switches regarding Bane and Talia though; kind of wish there was a little more detail there between the two of them. James Gordon continues to rock my socks. ooh Gordon ooh Also really liked John Blake, another character that I wanted more detail on.
Above all though, I love Anne Hathaway's Catwoman with the heat of a thousand fiery suns. Oh my God, YES. I'd love to read and/or write fic about what happens between Bruce and Selina after the end of the movie, I feel like there's a lot of good stuff that could be there.

Omg, Hathaway truly wow'd me, she really did. I was surprised and impressed. And you know, something else I really loved was the twist, allowing us to think Bane was the kid when it was really Talia, etc, and their relationship. Predictable, yes, but it was such a good use of lore, etc, how could I not love it. The logic fallacies in the movie continue to bug me (and I can think of more and more the longer I reflect on the movie), but the acting was excellent, the atmosphere was spot on, and the story itself captured me fully. It was a fun, summer film, and it's gonna keep me thinking for some time. :)

I just kept wondering that we had a Batman movie, well 3 of them, and no Robin in sight. I should've really known better. LOL.
